Dear Mom and Dad,
I don't think I've ever said these words as often as I should have, but I hope this letter can express what has always been in my heart.
Thank you.
Thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for every sacrifice you made, every moment you spent helping me, every ounce of effort you gave, and every decision you made with my future in mind. I know that none of those things came easily, yet you gave them willingly because you love me.
As I've grown older, I've started to realize that love isn't only shown through words. Love is waking up early to provide for your family. Love is coming home tired but still making time for your child. Love is putting someone else's needs before your own. Love is choosing to keep going, even when life is difficult.
That is the kind of love you have shown me every single day.
I'm sorry that I don't always tell you how grateful I am. Sometimes I get caught up in school, my dreams, or the things happening around me, and I forget to say the words you deserve to hear. But please know that my silence has never meant a lack of appreciation. Deep in my heart, I have always been thankful.
I admire your hard work more than anything. The time and effort you invested in raising me can never truly be measured. Every opportunity I have today exists because of the countless things you chose to do for me, even when it meant sacrificing your own comfort.
Everything I become in the future will always have your fingerprints on it.
If one day I accomplish my dreams, receive recognition, or build something that helps other people, I hope you know that those achievements will never be mine alone. They will be a reflection of everything you taught me, every value you instilled in me, and every sacrifice you quietly made behind the scenes.
